Breanna Burgess
Breanna is a Nationally Credentialed Advocate through the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), holding specialized designations in Domestic Violence and Crisis Intervention. She currently serves as a Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate.
In her role, Breanna provides crisis response, safety and escape planning, command consultation, resource navigation, and risk assessment. She also works with non-offending parents in cases of child abuse and participates in multidisciplinary teams addressing problematic sexual behavior in children and youth.
A proud Auburn University alumna, Breanna holds dual degrees in Psychology and Spanish Language & Culture, having studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain. Her professional background includes serving as a Shelter Coordinator in a confidential safe house, where she provided trauma-informed case management and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and other violent crimes.
As a board member of Advocacy Family Network, Inc., Breanna brings a dynamic perspective and a passion for bridging gaps between service providers and the families they serve, helping to drive the organization’s mission of collaborative, survivor-centered support.
Outside of advocacy, Breanna enjoys reading, gardening and doting on her German Shepherds.
